Hello

I’m Sorrel Lucy Shalet. I’m an ADHD coach based in Brighton, East Sussex (UK). I work with adults, particularly those in creative, marketing, and professional environments, who want to understand their ADHD brain and build a life that fits it.

Credentials & Training

I’m currently completing my Award + Certificate in ADHD Coaching with Barrett Coaching and Training. The qualification is dual accredited by the Association for Coaching and the Universal Coaching Alliance. Alongside this, I am in the process of gaining a Diploma in Baking as a Lifestyle Medicine from The Sourdough School — because I’m very interested in how nutrition and gut health can support ADHD brains.

A bit about me — and why I do this work

For years, I moved through the professional world as a senior HR leader with a growing sense that something wasn’t quite right. I was capable and successful; I knew that, but keeping up with everything everyone else seemed to manage effortlessly felt like a full-time job in itself. The constant effort to appear ‘normal’, to stay on top of things, to not let people down, was exhausting.

Getting clarity on my own ADHD changed everything. Not because it fixed anything, but because it finally gave me a framework for understanding myself. And from that understanding, real change became possible.

I’m now drawing on my experience in professional environments to give me insight into the very specific pressures that professionals with ADHD face: the open plan offices, the back-to-back meetings, the email overload, and the performance expectations. I’ve been in those rooms. I know what it feels like.

Now I’m training as a professional ADHD coach, and I’ve woven in my interest in lifestyle medicine, because I believe that coaching the ADHD brain means understanding the whole person. What you eat, how you sleep, whether you move your body, how you manage stress — all of it shapes how your brain shows up.

My coaching is empathetic, practical, and grounded in your real life. I won’t give you a one-size-fits-all system. We’ll build something that works for your brain, your job, and your life.

When I’m not coaching, you’ll find me looking after my three kids, in the garden, baking (and eating!) or going for a run.

If anything I’ve said resonates, I’d love to hear from you.
